That Gut Feeling

What's in your Gut??

Due to unhealthy lifestyles and poor eating habits, most people young and old are developing serious problems in the intestinal tract. Often times these problems may contribute to the development of many degenerative diseases such as heart problems, cancer, diabetes, obesity, etc. It has been said that modern day man digs his own grave with his fork and spoon.

It is estimated that over 90% of disease can be directly or indirectly related to an unhealthy digestive system.
Layer upon layer of mucoid plaque (a film of mucus; unhealthy accumulation of abnormal mucous matter on the walls of the intestines) is formed in the colon over many years. This substance can accumulate until it is several inches thick and reach the entire length of the stomach, small intestines and colon. This mucoid plaque can be so dense and hard that it resembles dried black tar. One autopsy revealed a colon so clogged with waste it weighed forty pounds! This mucoid plaque which is the result of the unnatural foods we eat, is responsible for most digestive problems and a host of other ailments.

Cleansing is a way to get rid the body of waste material that has been eliminated. The terms: cleanse and detox are used often but there meanings are not the same. The term detox is short for detoxification and it means eliminating toxins from the body. The liver is the main detoxification organ and it is responsible for neutralizing toxic substances, but eventually the toxins become too much for the liver to handle, leaving the body exposed to these toxic materials. That’s why detoxing the body is so important. On the other hand cleansing usually means eliminating waste material from the colon.

Female Herbal Complex works

I've had endometriosis for years. Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that behaves like the cells lining the uterus (endometrium) grows in other areas of the body, causing pain, irregular bleeding, and possible infertility. The tissue growth (implant) typically occurs in the pelvic area, outside of the uterus, on the ovaries, bowel, rectum, bladder, and the delicate lining of the pelvis. However, the implants can occur in other areas of the body, too. Pain is the main symptom for women with endometriosis. This can include:
•Painful periods
•Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic cramps that can be felt for a week or two before, after and during menstruation (the pain and cramps may be steady and dull or severe)
•Pain during or following sexual intercourse
•Pain with bowel movements
•Pelvic or low back pain that may occur at any time during the menstrual cycle

Note: Often there are no symptoms. In fact, some women with severe cases of endometriosis have no pain at all, whereas some women with mild endometriosis have severe pain.

In the past, I managed my symptoms by using:
•Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (Advil) and naproxen (Aleve), acetaminophen (Tylenol), or prescription painkillers to relieve cramping and pain.

•I've had treatments to stop the menstrual cycle to create a state resembling pregnancy. This is called pseudopregnancy. It can help prevent the disease from getting worse. It's done using birth control pills containing estrogen and progesterone.

•This type of therapy relieves most endometriosis symptoms temporarily, but it does not prevent scarring from the disease. It also does not reverse any physical changes that have already occurred. And now years later, I am suffering from the repercussions of constant use of the NSAIDs and the prolonged use of birth control.

I believe that 90% of my endometriosis has been healed, however, I still suffer with increasing pain in my pelvic area, particularly on my left side.

Ancestral Medicinal's Female Herbal Complex powder has offered me great pain relief as well as added nutritional benefits from the 100% all natural herbs that are combined in the powder. These are healing herbs not symptom relievers. There are no side affects; it's easily and quickly digested and there are no toxic additives or excipients.

Thanks AM (Ancestral Medicinals) for coming into my life and offering a natural, permanent solution.

Troy's Detox 14 Journal - Day 10 and 11

Day 10

Nothing really to report today. Still no frequent bowel movements. The only thing that is getting me through the day is the sips of all natural cranberry and grape juice. I don’t think that I’m going to do this much longer but we will see. One day at a time.

Day 11

Still nothing. It feels like I’ve peaked my cleanse. I’m sure I haven’t but I don’t have the patience to continue with no new results. Today is my last day. I’m proud of myself for attempting such a feat. Next time it will be even easier than this time. Thank you for allowing me to share this experience with you. I hope one day you too will travel this path and see how it changes your life.

Troy's Detox 14 Journal - Day 8 and 9

Day 8

Day 8!!! Yes, I’m back on the boat. I spoke with Marc this morning and let him know that I was done. He understood and didn’t pressure me to keep going. What he did, however, explain what was going on with me. How it became more of a mental battle. As he explained I realized he was right. When my head was in it I was able to resist the smells and urges, but when my head fell out the game, it was over. We talked about how much more I could have gotten out of the cleanse if I kept on. So now I’m back on. Today is the first day of fast, only fruit juices. I talked to him early enough that I hadn’t eaten anything today so at least I can get this day in. I’m not beating myself up for my moment of weakness, that’s what I was last night. Today I’m ready to get back to work. Due to my ever shrinking stomach (and my meal last night) it’s not even difficult not to eat. One day fast done, how many more, I don’t know. I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Day 9

Today, I went to the movies. By now you should be aware of my insane popcorn addiction. And guess what? I was not tempted at all to purchase any popcorn. It was as if the cravings had just went away. I noticed that I have not been having bowel movements as frequently as I was before I stopped eating.

Troy's Detox 14 Journal - Day 5 thru 7

Day 5

Today I went to Baltimore for a couple of days. Baltimore is definitely not the city to be in on a detox. So many great aromas but I’m being strong. Fortunately there is a Whole Foods in walking distance. Still expelling but not much more than yesterday. I did notice that the majority of my MS symptoms are gone. There is still some slight tingling when I move a certain way but that is much better than it has been since I stopped taking the medication. I stopped over two months ago.

Day 6

Second day in Baltimore, man this is really tough. Watching everyone enjoy the festivities is making me weak. Today I bought some guacamole from Whole Foods, it’s considered cheating because it had salt and pepper in it. Tomorrow is supposed to be the day I begin fasting. I decided to do 6 days fruit and herbs then 6 days just herbs. I’m seriously considering stopping after tomorrow and not during the extra week. The good thing is between the herbs and fruit, I’m very rarely hungry. Still no extreme expelling of the things I’ve seen in Marc’s pictures. But I may not be that toxic or it just hasn’t gone that deep yet. Regardless, I know it is helping me.

Day 7

Oh well, no more detox for me. About 7 pm this evening I decided that I had enough. Why am I doing this to myself? What do I have to prove? Exactly, that’s why I stopped. If I took those herbs one more time I would have vomited. I was officially open when I joined my roomies for dinner. I ate homemade spaghetti, garlic bread, then later in the day I couldn’t resist the urge to eat some French fries. But I’m not getting too down on myself, I’ve went this long being strong I’m sure I got what I could out of it. It’s been a challenging experience, as it always is, but this is where I get off the boat. Thanks for reading, I enjoyed sharing the experience with you.

Troy's Detox 14 Journal - Day 2 thru 4

Day 2

I woke up in the middle of the night to have a bowel movement. It was the first stool I could tell was affected by the cleanse. It was weird because I could see bits of salad from my salad that night. I always thought it took 24 hours for food to digest, but then again it wasn’t digested. It was a nice to see some results. If not I would feel like this was for nothing.

Not feeling so positive today. What was I thinking trying to do this for an additional 7 days. I really don’t want to do it but I’m determined to get the best results ever. I’m feeling a little depressed today. Today, I ate more vegetables for dinner. This is getting tiresome. The only good thing is that the countless amount of water and herbs I’m taking and keeping on this damn schedule is making the days pass by a little faster. I noticed that my face is breaking out and my allergies seem to be flaring up. I have never had a problem with my face breaking out, not even during puberty. As far as my allergies are concerned, they haven’t bothered me for months. I know it’s not a result of what I’ve eaten because I have not eaten anything but raw fruits and vegetables. I guess it’s a result of the cleanse.

Day 3

Face is starting to clear up a little but the running of the nose continues. Feeling much happier today. Expelled again in the middle of the night. I hope this pattern continues, the middle of the night if far better than the middle of the day. Nothing much else to report.

Day 4

Expelled twice last night. Wow!!! That has to be the most I’ve crapped in my life. It appeared normal, but what is normal when u have an esophagus full of Bentonite and Psyllum Husk. It was a great moment because I can tell that something is going on in there. I never go to the bathroom during the night and definitely not twice in a night. I very rarely have a bowel movement twice in the same day.

Today was a challenging day. Not so much because of the cleanse, but because I had to deal with some emotional issues. I realized in that moment how much I love comfort foods. Two of my biggest cravings were for popcorn and gyros. I LOVE them both, popcorn a little more than gyros. I drove past the movie theater that serves some of the best popcorn you can get at the movies. I was proud of myself from talking myself off the ledge, especially since I already cheated during the first week with movie popcorn. Then the cravings kicked in again when I drove past my favorite gyros spot in Milwaukee. No worries, I maintained strong. I was actually on my way to a networking event that I had already paid for but I didn’t feel like going. I don’t know if it was the detox or the day that made me turn around.

Troy's Detox 14 Journal

Background

This is not my first detox. The reason I decided to detox this time is because of my determination to change my health. I was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and as you may know there is no cure for this ailment. However, thanks to research and the help of my friends I have discovered a number of individuals who were able to put it back into remission. They did this by extremely changing their diets, even some going on a completely raw foods diet. By detoxing and changing my diet, I am also looking to set my MS in remission.

This is my journal of my 2nd week of cleansing. I’ve completed the pre-cleanse, eating nothing but fruits and vegetables for 7 days.

Day 1

Today I began the herbal supplements. I’m excited about the results that I will achieve from cleaning my colon and other organs. Of course, I wasn’t excited about drinking a gallon of water everyday and swallowing countless pills. Nor was I excited about 7 more days of fruits and veggies.

Day 1 went well. I began the herbal supplements and maintained an positive attitude about the cleanse throughout the day. No side effects or unusual bowel movements as of yet. I went to see Marc today and discuss the cleanse with him. As a result of the discussion, I decided to take the herbal supplements for an additional 7 days. That will give me 14 days of the actual cleanse, 21 days if u count the 7 pre-cleanse days. For dinner I ate an organic salad. I also forgot to do the enema.

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 7

The last day, yea! They say that 7 is the number of completion. Is that why the cleanse lasts for 7 days?? I’m up to 4 eliminations. Still haven’t topped my 6 from Friday (or was it Saturday?). I’m losing track. Every morning I start off with Spirulina. Today I started bright & early (around 6AM). I had my elimination right after. I kept a pretty good schedule today. Although my head is feeling a bit heavy and some light numbing in my left arm. Could it be that b/c I’m completing the detox my old thoughts have returned/retraced back to symptoms before the detox? Hmmmm!

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 6

I’m still feeling a little tired today. Tired of drinking all that water. I perk up a few hours later. I decide to slow it down today and focus on detoxing – mind, body, and soul. I spend the entire evening at home - cleaning my office. I'm in detox mode. I stay on schedule today. Obviously not as tired as this morning b/c I cleaned my office from about 4P to 11P. And still not tired. Is this for real??

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 5

Today, feeling a little tired. Surely it’s the popcorn from yesterday I suppose. Or am I just feeling guilty? I’m sort of crabby. But then I’ve been that all week if you ask my daughters. I don’t feel crabby, just intolerant. My head is clear I don’t feel bad, just my threshold is somewhat shorter. I don’t feel like another enema. Another episode of cleaning up a mess (pun intended). It’s quiet most of the day b/c my girls are gone out to the water park for the day. Glad someone’s having fun. I choose to miss the spa and wellness event cuz: 1) I don’t want to have go poop every 1-1/2 and 2) b/c I don’t feel like rushing and getting off my schedule. Oh well, that didn’t work. I had a wedding to attend. I had absolutely no reason to be late but I was. Absolutely none. Then the remainder of the day I was thrown off schedule. I got it! It must have been the caffeine in the enema. OK, maybe it's just the rollercoaster ride of the detox!!

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 4

Had enema last night. Not much came out. Feeling great this morning. About to do my coffee enema right after my shake. [A few hours later]. Wooo, glad I don’t have to work today! OK.... The coffee enema was a mess (PUN intended!). It gave me a new respect for my dad who was a plumber (BTW my dad has been deceased for 30 years now!) I had not anticipated cleaning my bathroom today but oh well. Sooo, I wasn’t able to sustain the recommended 12-20 minute hold time. More like 1 to 2 minutes before it came out with a vengeance. When I say vengeance, I mean I had never seen the back of my toilet/behind the toilet next to the wall, until today. My suggestion, when you try the coffee enema, be sure to stay in the tub or at least as close to the toilet as you can. Remove all rugs and anything in the trail of where you start and where the toilet is. Other than that, my cleanse is going great. Feel really good! Stay tuned! I was doing so well until… the movies. I was set up for a setback. Yep. They asked me to hold the popcorn box. Extra large. The gigantic, buttery, fresh popped popcorn. I held it but then I had to carry it. Smelling it during the stroll into the theater resulted in my weakness overtaking me. I LOVE POPCORN!! There, I said it and I did it. I ate it. With regrets - later. So I promise to do an enema and take 4 capsules in the morning to make up for it.

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 3

Feeling pretty good today. Disciplined with my eating and very close to schedule. Also with my emotions. I had a pretty hard hit today emotionally and I took it like a champ. I was able to remain cool and calm and pray about my situation. I was even amazed at the rational way I acted. I know it had to be the detox because I’ve never had such a reaction to a high stress situation. NEVER! God is really healing me inside out! (I guess I can sense Him in there since some of the junk is being removed.) Cleansing has an amazing effect! I plan to take an enema tonight, and then do a coffee enema in the morning because of all of the pain meds (just plain old meds) I’ve taken in the past. Marc says my liver needs a cleanse. Interested to see how that turns out!

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 2

Day 2 of detox. Still disciplined with the fruit and veggies. Feeling no pain; a slight headache generally after my meals. Had four stools today; starting to loosen up a bit. My schedule was thrown off because I ran out of salad and had to go to the store. (It helps if you prepare for cleanse beforehand.) Be sure to prepare for the before, during, and after the cleanse periods. Woke up at 10:30P to take my last Detox capsules. I had an irate moment earlier when I went to my attorney’s office to inquire about the unreturned calls. Marc says it is part of the detox. It felt pretty natural to me – well natural for how I used to behave. Bless the Lord for renewal!

Cleansing vs. Detox

Is Cleansing the same as Detoxing?

Due to unhealthy lifestyles and poor eating habits most people, young and old, are developing serious problems in the intestinal tract which often times may contribute to the development of many degenerative diseases such as heart problems, cancer, diabetes, obesity, etc. It has been said that modern day man
digs his own grave with his fork and spoon. It is estimated that over 90% if disease can be directly or indirectly related to an unhealthy digestive system.

Felicia's EZ-7 Day 1

I’m serving as Marc’s guinea pig as I play around with the detox for babies (EZ Detox). Started cleanse today (Tues). I’m doing the 3 meals a day with 2 sets of detox products. The ultimate 7 day is no meals, just detox products. I was a little reluctant to go cold turkey so I took my armor (natural thyroid medicine) today. I had spirulina, fruit and veggies (raw and cooked) along with the detox. I did pretty well in terms of being discipline. Had some numbing in my left arm late morning and a slight headache right after lunch. Other than that, not much pain, which is improvement from alot of pain. I decided to take the shake like a woMAN – in as little water as possible. Upon my first glance, it looked like mud. It is very gel like. I had to add a bit more water to loosen it up. But I like to get my pain over with so I took about 5 gulps of the gel like substance and chased it with water. OK, so like when we used to take medicine as a kid, I held it in my mouth and used the water to push it down fast. The great news is that there is no taste to the gel. If you can get past the consistency, that slimy feeling in your mouth, then you’re home free. I only pooped twice today and that was each time after the shake. I suppose that beats my usual once a day huh?

Felicia's EZ-7 - Prep days

Started the prep for my EZ-7, seven day detox program. I didn’t really do well with just fruit and veggies. For b’fast I had my usual fruit smoothie. Then later I had some baked chicken wings & piece of cake. It wasn't fair. I worked all day at a festival next to the chicken lady on my left and the cake lady on my right. I think they kept trying to eye me to come over and sample their product. That night, my side/back continued to be in a lot of pain. The next day I did better. Had herbs, fruit & veggies. I ate a small piece of chicken and took my usual enzymes and armor (natural thyroid medicine). I laid on a heating pad for about an hour. I'm ready for my cleanse.
